SHANE FISHER #1 QUALIFIER & MAKES QUICKEST RUN EVER FOR X275 CAR 4.51@158.74 MPH-MEDLOCK & HULL IMPRESSIVE SHOWINGS OUTLAW STREET CAR REUNION BATTLE OF THE STATES-MEMPHIS,TN

Great weekend for Bennett customers Fisher, Medlock and Hull!

Shane Fisher raises the bar by making the quickest run in X275 history with a 4.51@158.74 MPH, only to fall in the second round to electrical gremlins when car lost power after staging.

Charles Hull runs the top speed of event with a 160.46 MPH shot, and a career best of 4.58. Charles lost to runner up Dean Marinis at 8 cars in a close race. Charles runs a Bennett Gen 1 engine with TFS Hi Port cylinder heads and a Large Frame 88mm Precision Turbo. With soon to be installed engine revisions and a new turbo we look for good things from this car in the near future.

Brad Medlock brought his Bennett 400 out for the first time. Brad fought transmission trouble Thursday and Friday, and came back to qualify with a 4.61. Brad went out at 8 cars to eventual race winner Rich Bruder when he spun the tires. Brad ran top speed of eliminations with a 159.02 MPH blast in the 2nd round, and went 4.60 that round with a very soft 60. Very impressive 1st time out with a new combo. All these are career bests for Brad.

“Although we were not in the winners circle in the end these new combinations performed very well. We will be debuting 3 new X275 cars with our engines very soon and look forward to growing our X275 engine program. It's going to be an exciting year!” -Jon Bennett

Congratulations to Bruders for Win and Marinis for runner up.

Along with Bennett Power-KB Xtreme Performance parts & tuning, and Pressurized Solutions fabrication plays a major part in these cars.

SHANE FISHER #1 QUAL & TOP SPEED X275 AFTER ROUND LIGHTS OUT 5 VALDOSTA, GA 4.59@157mph

Shane Fisher lays down the first pass in the 4.50’s under new X275 rules with a 4.59@157mph at Lights Out 5 in Valdosta, GA.

“They gave us weight this year, cried about our turbo and took it last minute, and tried to take our heads-but as we have proved time and time again-it doesn’t matter Bennett Power is still leading the way” John Kolivas, Crew Chief Shane Fisher

“ Our department heads at shop-Tony Cole, Lee Morgan,Jim Farris, and myself have worked really hard the past 5 months to develop our GEN 3 engines for X275. This first time to track the combination is showing promise & has A LOT of room for future improvement. We built this engine with 40 year old head technology from the 351 Cleveland Ford due to the lower weight allowed, but had that change to only a 50lb break mid stream. Good chance you will see us back with our New Bennett Racing 10X cylinder head soon due to only 50lbs for stock valve angle head. Looking forward to another great Bennett Powered year in X275” Jon Bennett-Bennett Racing Engines

“Bennett Racing Engines can help put your existing or a new engine to the front of X275-we are one phone call away-call Jon @ 205-269-3134. Why many re-brand our engines with a sticker on the valve cover, reverse engineer, and steal our engine designs & trade secrets, but there is nothing like the power of a Bennett Racing Engine”

BENNETT 427P CRATE ENGINE CUSTOMER RESULTS

We would like to share some results from Louis Fernandez on his recent purchase of one of our 427P Crate Engines. This particular 427P had some new camshaft and cylinder head designs that helped this engine make over 660hp vs. the advertised 625hp. We will soon be upgrading all of our 427P’s to these new designs.

First time out Louis ran 9.91@135mph! Note this engine is a hydraulic roller cam engine, shifts at under 7000rpm, and runs on pump gas!

November 2, SYDNEY AUSTRALIA-PETE PISADILIS SETS ANDRA AA/APIA RECORD 1ST FULL PASS ON NEW BENNETT 440 SBC TURBO ENGINE

Congratulations to Pete Pisadilis on setting the ANDRA AA/APIA record with his Bennett 440 Small Block Chevy Turbo Engine. Pete ran 6.90@206 mph the first full pass on the car with a very soft tune up and almost 200 lbs over weight. We look forward to setting the ET record soon and re-setting the mph record.

“The power of this Bennett Engine is un real. I ran a non-Bennett engine like this before I purchased this new version from Bennett and Bennett’s version runs quicker and faster with 10 psi less boost! Cannot wait to step on this thing and see how fast it will go! Would also like to thank John Kolivas for helping me with tuning." - Pete Pisadilis, Melbourne Australia

“Congrats to Pete on a good first outing. Pete has became a good customer, but importantly a good friend. We are expanding our presence in Australia very soon and look forward to working with everyone down under.” - Jon Bennett-Bennett Racing Engines

Shawn Ayers qualified 4th with a 4.572@156 mph with his Bennett 302 Based TFS Hi Port Headed Engine

(If we are forgetting about some racers with Bennett Power-we sincerely apologize)

Shane Fisher met Shawn Ayers in the semis where both ran 4.58 and Fisher advanced to the finals. Congratulations to Shawn Ayers for getting to 4 cars through a tough field.

Although giving up a ton on the 60ft Shane Fisher caught the other lane at the 330ft and with a difference of almost 9 mph the rest was history4.54@166.60 mph

Race Winner
Ran Top Speed For Event 166.60 mph
X275 World Record ET 4.535
X275 World Record MPH 166.60 mph

John Kolivas fought some problems in his Outlaw 275 Mustang over the weekend, but did run top speed in Outlaw 275 with 181 mph shot. Car was on a record shattering pass in the semi but spun the tires a little before the 330.

“Amazing weekend with our Bennett Powered Mustang. With Shane’s lighting quick reaction times I kept our tune ups conservative all weekend as evidenced by the soft 60ft numbers, but the top end charge of this Bennett Power is unreal. During the “mine shaft” air conditions of the 3rd round of qualifying the car was a “moon shot” but spun the tires. We went 4.53 in 2nd round of qualifying. Most cars picked up .06-.08 in the 3rd session-you do the math…” -John Kolivas

“Proud of all of the Bennett Power family this weekend, to own the top spots at one of, if not the most elite X275 race of the year is a testament to our customers, employees, and our X275 engine program. Huge congrats to Shane Fisher for making it 2 in a row with his big win at Holly Springs. Shane and his family are class acts and it is an honor to have them as customers. Can’t say enough about John Kolivas and his skills on tuning this hot rod, and Pressurized Solutions for great fabrication work on the car, and Racecraft on a killer chassis. When Shane ran 4.59 in April to become the first X275 turbo car in the 4.50’s we knew we just had to convert some data to even more horsepower. Since then the amounts of power we are finding in these turbo platforms far exceeds our expectations. We are excited to be working on our new Generation 3 X275 engine and will be shipping this first piece really soon. We are simply not setting back on the recent accomplishments of our engine program, we will continue to incorporate new data into even more horsepower.

Many continue to ask how, some reverse engineer, and some attempt to buy our parts designs from our vendors-we could not be more flattered! -Jon Bennett-Bennett Racing Engines

SEPTEMBER 13, 2013-SHAWN AYERS 4.55@161 MPH X275 "quickest and fastest ever"; FISHER 4.59

In testing Friday night to get ready for the 2 big fall races at Valdosta and Holly Springs Shawn Ayers and Shane Fisher made runs in the 4.50’s.

We recently updated Shawn Ayers engine and he picked up from shop last week. First time out with updates car goes 4.55@161 mph. Shawn runs a Bennett 302 Based Ford w/ Bennett Prepped TFS HI Port Cylinder Heads.

Shane Fisher ran 4.59 @ almost 160mph same night, but not with the short times they were looking for. Shane’s car was recently updated with new high flow intercooler by Pressurized Solutions www.pressurizedsolutions.com that is designed specifically for X275 turbo cars.

“We have recently found even more power in these X275 engines with recent camshaft and valvetran testing, and applied these to Shawn’s car. We cannot be more happy with the results. Shane’s car is also set to run deep into 50’s in the fall with recent updates by John Kolivas. The crew here at the shop and myself are continuing to work hard to find even more power. I’m having and have had a lot of fun developing these X275 engines, and look forward to the rest of 2013 and into 2014 as we are committed to the continued supply of top running engines for the class!”–Jon Bennett

AUGUST 10, 2013 - JEFF HARRINGTON Outlaw 10.5 Car 6.64 @ 217 mph with his Bennett 427 Twin Turbo Engine 1st time out!

Congratulations to Jeff Harrington for an impressive 1st time out with his new updated Bennett 427 engine. This was done with only 28 psi of boost! We look for Jeff to lay down some really fast numbers with more boost and more time to tune the combo!

"This run was with 28lbs of boost and a fuel curve that still needed some clean-up due to rich conditions on the upper half of the fuel tables. We increased the boost for the next run to 32lbs and made the necessary changes to the fuel table and the car picked up to 6mph in the 1/8mile. However this run had to be aborted seeing the car was walking towards the wall. We feel this 6.64ET is short lived once we start to turn the boost up, which this says a lot for a small block combination !" -Jeff Harrington

"Jeff has one fast hot rod! Just another example of hardwork paid by both Jeff and the Bennett Racing team in shop. We continue to supply the most advanced turbo engine program out there and this another example of a small block that out ET's most big blocks! -Jon Bennett

AUGUST 10, 2013-Jeff Cooner Dominates Steele Outlaw Radial

Congratulations to Jeff Cooner (driver), Randy Sharpston (owner) and Derek & Drew-Pressurized Solutions for their recent win at Steele, Alabama in Outlaw Radial. Qualified 1st, Low ET and Race Win!

"This team tuned through tricky condtions to not only qualify #1, set low et, but to also win the race. RTS and Pressurized have raced this car for years and we are thrilled to be a part of their program during it's most successful year. This a hard working team and much deserved congratulations. As we begin to enter better racing conditions relating to weather we look for this car to go really fast with a small cid Big Block. -Jon Bennett
