The last qualifying session Saturday night was exciting to say the least in X275. Shawn Ayers went 4.62@156 mph with his Bennett 363 cid Turbo Engine to hold the #1 spot and set new record for a X275 turbo car, but just after his great run came Shane Fisher in a shot heard around the world...4.592@156 mph with his Bennett 400 cid Turbo engine. This was the first time a turbo X275 car has broken into the 4.50's.

Jeff Reed fought driveline gremlins but still managed to qualify #13 with a 4.83@153 mph, John Gatterra qualified #9 with his Bennett 400cid Turbo engine with a 4.79@151 mph in his first time with the new combination. Stacy Parker qualified with a 4.96@144 mph with his Bennett Turbo engine.
