(If we are forgetting about some racers with Bennett Power-we sincerely apologize)

Shane Fisher met Shawn Ayers in the semis where both ran 4.58 and Fisher advanced to the finals. Congratulations to Shawn Ayers for getting to 4 cars through a tough field.

Although giving up a ton on the 60ft Shane Fisher caught the other lane at the 330ft and with a difference of almost 9 mph the rest was history4.54@166.60 mph

Qualified #1 with a 4.535
Race Winner
Ran Top Speed For Event 166.60 mph
X275 World Record ET 4.535
X275 World Record MPH 166.60 mph

John Kolivas fought some problems in his Outlaw 275 Mustang over the weekend, but did run top speed in Outlaw 275 with 181 mph shot. Car was on a record shattering pass in the semi but spun the tires a little before the 330.

“Amazing weekend with our Bennett Powered Mustang. With Shane’s lighting quick reaction times I kept our tune ups conservative all weekend as evidenced by the soft 60ft numbers, but the top end charge of this Bennett Power is unreal. During the “mine shaft” air conditions of the 3rd round of qualifying the car was a “moon shot” but spun the tires. We went 4.53 in 2nd round of qualifying. Most cars picked up .06-.08 in the 3rd session-you do the math…” -John Kolivas

“Proud of all of the Bennett Power family this weekend, to own the top spots at one of, if not the most elite X275 race of the year is a testament to our customers, employees, and our X275 engine program. Huge congrats to Shane Fisher for making it 2 in a row with his big win at Holly Springs. Shane and his family are class acts and it is an honor to have them as customers. Can’t say enough about John Kolivas and his skills on tuning this hot rod, and Pressurized Solutions for great fabrication work on the car, and Racecraft on a killer chassis. When Shane ran 4.59 in April to become the first X275 turbo car in the 4.50’s we knew we just had to convert some data to even more horsepower. Since then the amounts of power we are finding in these turbo platforms far exceeds our expectations. We are excited to be working on our new Generation 3 X275 engine and will be shipping this first piece really soon. We are simply not setting back on the recent accomplishments of our engine program, we will continue to incorporate new data into even more horsepower.

Many continue to ask how, some reverse engineer, and some attempt to buy our parts designs from our vendors-we could not be more flattered! -Jon Bennett-Bennett Racing Engines
